Celebration Station

So, I'm a little behind in posting this, but we've had a lot going on lately! Recently, Aiden filled his good behavior "narble jar," and his reward was an evening at Celebration Station. Aiden asked Stella and her mommy and daddy to join us, so we all headed over to Mesquite for a night of fun.

We started off with some overpriced pizza, during which the kids climbed the booth like a jungle gym while the parents enjoyed some grown-up talk. Then it was off to enjoy the rides and mini-golf. They started off riding the miniature train and the airplanes, then challenged each other to a race on the go-kart track. After a few laps, we all played a round of mini-golf. Stella got a few lessons from her daddy and then was playing like a champ--of course, both kiddos played "hockey style" and there was a lot of picking up the ball, but they had fun. Jason and Emily were amused by the fact that Brad and I HAD TO KEEP SCORE and spent the entire round trash talking and accusing each other of cheating (I'd call it a tie this time around, since we cut the game short for the kiddos when we had the same score, but I'm sure Brad would try to tell you he won). Can you say competitive? And now you all know where Aiden gets it!
After golf, the guys took the kids on the bumper boats. I think the daddies enjoyed this as much as, if not more than, the kids since there was a giant water cannon on the front of the boat and they had the opportunity to soak one another and the other riders. Then it was one last train ride and we all headed home. The kids had a great time, and I know Aiden's reward was even sweeter with Stella (and her parents) along to join in on the fun!
