Groundhog Day, Texas-style

I was talking with Aiden on the way to church this morning. It was a dreary, cold, yucky day.

Aiden: "Mama, the armadillo didn't see his shadow. 6 more weeks of winter."

Me: "Armadillo? Don't you mean groundhog?"

Aiden: (as if he thinks I'm a total moron) "There aren't groundhogs in Texas, Mama! We have armadillos in Texas!"

Such a smart, creative kid, that one.
