Whee!

On Friday, school was cancelled and Brad had the day off, so we decided to take advantage of the rare snowfall and go sledding. Since we don't exactly own a sled, we had to make do, using the lid to Aiden's turtle sandbox and an old bathmat, but it worked great. We headed over to the local high school, which has several big hills along the soccer fields to choose from.

Aiden and Aubrey had so much fun, sliding down the hill, big smiles plastered across their faces. Aubrey would cry and try to throw herself out of my arms and back onto the sled every time I pulled her out to drag it back up the hill--she just couldn't understand why we'd make her get out! Aiden laughed and giggled and had a great time--but he soon decided it was much more fun to throw snowballs at his Daddy and abandoned the sled to his sister.

After about an hour of fun, we rounded up our rosy-cheeked little ones and headed to complete a quick errand before going home. The kiddos were falling asleep in the car within a couple of minutes though--our snow-filled adventures wore them out! Here are a few pictures of our outing.
