Month of Thanks: Day 10 & Exciting News!

Brad spoke with his branch manager yesterday (for you civilian types, that's the guy who decides what assignment we get, where we move and the job Brad gets). He gave Brad verbal confirmation that we've been assigned to...

Hawaii!

Of course, it is the Army, so until we have written orders in hand, things can change. But we are fairly certain about this one, thanks to a few "ins" we have with the unit and the branch manager's assurances. We are excited, though.

So, today I'm grateful for new adventures and this crazy Army life that affords us the opportunity to experience so many different cultures, climates, and locales. The life isn't always the easiest, but I wouldn't trade the friends, the experiences, and the pride it offers our family for anything in the world.

And now, I'm going to go surf the web and figure out how to get my family, our dog, and all of our worldly belongings across the Pacific!
